Two Statements

A year later, and two statements are still stuck in my mind. I would think that, at this point, time would soften the blow. If time didn’t accomplish that for me, then typically my mind could rationalize away unsavory things. But, neither of those outcomes has happened. Instead, two statements remain.

“Can we eat that gospel of yours?”

“Will your God feed me?”

I would describe for you the context, but would the context matter? In what situation would a negative answer to those statements be acceptable?
